The goal at UCC is to engage youth in their education and help them to set high goals for their education and future job possibilities. By focusing on the need to complete homework assignments, master the core school subjects, and seek and benefit from after-school tutoring, UCC helps Hispanic youth on Milwaukee's near south side provide themselves with a brighter future. Youth participating in the cultural arts and after-school programs perform better in their academic subjects at school.
ASAP begins the last Tuesday in September and ends on the last Thursday in May. ASAP is every Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 3 - 4 p.m. Students are chosen for ASAP based on teacher recommendations. (The regular school day ends at 4 p.m. for the Middle School.)
