School Uniform Policy

BGCS & BGMS have a dress code policy. Students are required to dress in the appropriate clothing.  Students who do not follow the policy will be sent home to change.

Boys

Navy blue pants, white shirt with a collar (polo shirt or a dress shirt) with white undershirts, white socks, black belt, and black shoes.  Shorts may be worn if the weather is warm from September to the middle of October and then again from mid-April through July.  Boys many wear navy blue sweaters or sweatshirts (no hooded sweatshirts) over their white shirts.  Sweatshirts may not have a design or writing on the front or back, unless it is the BGCS logo. Undergarments should not be visible.                                                    

Girls                                                   

Navy blue pants, or skirt (skirt length must be at the knee), white shirt with a collar (polo shirt or a dress shirt) with white undershirts, white socks, black belt, and black shoes.  Shorts may be worn if the weather is warm from September to the middle of October and then again from mid-April through July.  Girls many wear navy blue sweaters or sweatshirts (no hooded sweatshirts) over their white shirts.  Sweatshirts may not have a design or writing on the front or back, unless it is the BGCS logo.  Skinny pants are not allowed. Undergarments should not be visible.

Jewelry & Piercings

Girls may have one earring in each ear that is tasteful and appropriate for school. Earrings may not be larger than a nickel. Nose, lip, eyebrow, or any other type of piercing is not appropriate for school.  Boys may not wear earrings. Students may wear one ring on each hand and one bracelet per wrist. Students may wear one chain necklace.  Boys must wear their chain inside their shirts.

Hair

Hair should be clean cut, neat, and appropriate for school. No dyed, highlighted, or streaked hair. No shaven designs on the scalp. No fake hair pieces will be allowed.

Make-Up

Students are not allowed to wear any form or type of make-up.  Clear lip balm will be allowed for chapped lips.

Nails

Nails should be neatly trimmed.  No nail polish.  No artificial nails.
