I have been with the United Community Center for the greater part of the last 15 years serving in different capacities. My current position is the middle school Guidance Counselor. This is my fourth year in this position and each year is a different, yet positive, learning experience.
As a school counselor I am dedicated to working with students, staff, and families to promote student success in their person/social, academic, and career development. Some of the things that I offer to help students through the middle school years include: small groups, classroom guidance, and individual solution focused counseling.
In addition to counseling I am also responsible for 8th grade high school placement. Throughout the school year I will assist families in the application process and make sure that your student is accepted to the high school that will be best for him/her. My goal is to ensure that the transition to high school from Bruce Guadalupe is a smooth process.
