I have been with the United Community Center for the greater part of the last 16 years. In 2012, I received my Master’s Degree in the School of Counseling from Concordia University. This will be my 6th year as middle school Guidance Counselor as well the 8th grade high school transition coordinator. I enjoy working with every student to ensure they grow to his/her fullest potential academically and socially!
Some of the things that I offer to help students through the middle school years include: small groups, classroom guidance, and individual solution focused counseling.
As a school counselor, I am dedicated to working with students, staff, and families to promote student success in their person/social, academic, and career development. I would like to see each student seek further education beyond high school and become an engaged member of society.
Throughout the school year, I assist 8th grade families in the High School application process to make sure that their child is accepted to the high school that will be best for him/her. My goal is to ensure that the transition to high school from Bruce Guadalupe is a smooth process.
