After-School Achievement Program & Extended Care

Mission Statement

The goal at UCC is to engage youth in their academic journey and help them to set high goals for their education and future job possibilities. By focusing on the need to complete homework assignments, master the core school subjects, and seek and benefit from after-school tutoring, UCC helps Hispanic youth on Milwaukee's near south side provide themselves with a brighter future. Youth participating in the cultural arts and after-school programs perform better in their academic subjects at school.

Afterschool Programming for K4 - 5th Grade Students

Our K4-5th grade schools provide after school care for students from 3pm - 5pm. There is a per-child fee associated with this program, and spaces are limited and dependent on staff availability.  Please contact one of the school offices for more information on this program.

After-School Achievement Program Scholarship (Grades 1 - 8)

Students that are struggling academically and are in need of additional academic support may be selected to receive an After-School Achievement Program (ASAP) scholarship to cover the cost of after school care on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3-4pm. Students are chosen for the ASAP scholarship based on teacher recommendations, and students can only maintain this scholarship with consistent attendance during the ASAP program, Monday-Thursday.
